Sol Swing – Terms & Conditions

We’re excited to welcome you to a weekend of dance, connection, and community.
Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized event for everyone.

Definitions

  • “Participant,” “Registrant,” “I,” “You,” and “Your” refer to the person registered to attend Sol Swing.

  • “Event Organizer,” “Company,” “We,” and “Our” refer to ArGo Dance & Fitness and its staff, volunteers, and anyone involved in planning or managing Sol Swing.

Health & Fitness Requirements

By attending Sol Swing, you confirm that you are in good physical and mental health and capable of participating in dance activities. If you have any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or require accommodations, please inform the Event Organizer in advance so we can do our best to support you.

Event Rules & Conduct

All participants are expected to follow event rules, posted guidelines, and instructions given by event staff. Event officials may make on-the-spot decisions regarding participation in specific activities if safety or well-being is a concern. If a participant is deemed unfit to continue, an explanation will be provided. Appeals may be addressed respectfully to a senior event representative during the event.

Behavior Expectations & Alcohol Policy

Sol Swing is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

  • Respect for fellow participants, staff, instructors, DJs, and property is mandatory.

  • Alcohol consumption must be responsible.

  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

Anyone displaying disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior—including excessive intoxication—may be asked to leave the event without refund.

Health & Illness Policy

Participants agree to respect any applicable health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the event. If you feel unwell, we ask you to prioritize your health and the well-being of others.

Liability & Assumption of Risk

Dance is a physical activity that carries inherent risks. By attending Sol Swing, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that the Event Organizer is not liable for injuries, accidents, illnesses, or property damage that may occur during or in connection with the event.

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. The Event Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Schedule & Instructor Changes

While we aim to follow the published schedule and instructor lineup, changes may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Any updates will be communicated through official event channels. No refunds will be issued due to schedule or lineup changes.

Booking & Registration

  • Registrations are only valid once payment is completed.

  • Registrations made via Dance App remain binding for 30 days.

  • To cancel a registration within this period, you must contact the Event Organizer directly.

Role Balance

To maintain a balanced lead/follow ratio, couple registrations are strongly encouraged.
Single registrations are accepted but may be placed on a waiting list. Singles will be confirmed in order of registration as balance allows.

Note: A processing fee of 2.9% (Stripe) will be added to all payments.

Payment Policy

Payment must be completed within three (3) days of registration or before the next price tier change—whichever comes first.
Unpaid registrations may be canceled without notice.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

  • No refunds are offered for cancellations.

  • If you cannot attend, you may transfer your pass with Event Organizer approval:

Leaders: Transfer to another leader
Followers: Transfer to another follower or to a leader

A 250 NOK transfer fee applies (payable by either party). We reserve the right to deny transfers in cases of suspected misuse or abuse.

Ticket Resale Policy

Passes may not be resold for profit. Unauthorized resales or scalping will invalidate the pass and entry will be denied.

Refund Appeals

Refunds are not offered. Appeals for exceptional circumstances may be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The Event Organizer’s decision is final.

Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions, force majeure), the Event Organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event without obligation to issue refunds.

Any changes will be communicated promptly.

Code of Conduct & Harassment Policy

Sol Swing has zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind.

This includes harassment based on gender, race, age, sexuality, ability, religion, or any other protected characteristic.

Violations will result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
A full Code of Conduct is provided separately and applies to all participants.

Photo, Video & Media Release

By attending Sol Swing, you consent to the use of photos, video, and audio recordings that may include your image or likeness for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes, without compensation.

Privacy Policy

All personal information collected during registration is used solely for event-related communication and administration.

Your data will not be shared with third parties.

You may unsubscribe from communications at any time.

Lost or Stolen Items

Sol Swing is not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items during or after the event.

Please keep track of your belongings at all times.

While we may assist with locating items during the event, we cannot guarantee recovery.
